HUDSON - A 49-year-old Gibsonton man is facing a sexual battery charge in connection with a Hudson rape in April.
Thomas H. Hunter was arrested Dec. 28 by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office on a Pasco County warrant. He was taken from the Hillsborough County jail to the Pasco County jail Monday afternoon. He was being held Tuesday in lieu of $50,000 bail.
"The victim was known to the suspect," Pasco sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll said Tuesday. DNA evidence linked Hunter to the rape, Doll said, but Hunter could not be found.
