• At a top speed of about 37 miles per hour, it can cut through the water nearly 40 percent faster than most cruise ships.
•It is the most-spacious large ship. Using the cruise industry's standard measurement of dividing a ship's gross registering tonnage(not its weight but the space its hull and outer walls encompass) by the number of lower berths for passengers, the QM2 figure is 57.25 per passenger.
• Enough staff to supply passengers with a choice of 200 activities on a six- day voyage.
