THURSDAY: Bank of America, Wachovia and Brown & Brown insurance to release earnings; Scripps Florida Funding Corp. meets in West Palm Beach; and economic reports due on consumer price index and retail sales for December.

FRIDAY: Economic reports due on business inventories for November and industrial production for December.
