Police arrest 16 suspects in east Tampa drug sweep

TAMPA - A drug sweep in east Tampa on Wednesday resulted in 16 arrests.

The sweep was launched at 10 a.m. with two search warrants executed at 405 Gould Court and 3715 N Jefferson St. Six people, wanted on charges from undercover sweeps in November and December, were arrested.

Wednesday afternoon, QUAD (Quick Uniform Attack on Drugs) officers did a reverse sting in the 400 block of Nordica Street and arrested 10 people who attempted to buy drugs from plain clothes officers, according to Tampa police.
