NORTHDALE - Trees in Northdale will soon get a much-needed manicure. The Northdale Taxing District on Tuesday hired a Carrollwood-based landscaping company to trim the overgrown canopies hanging over the Northdale Boulevard extension.

Board members anticipate spending $25,000 for the first phase, which also includes pruning trees along Northdale Boulevard in front of Brentwood Park. Property manager Rick Pitrowski said trimming will likely begin later this month. He expects the board to approve another $25,000 for tree trimming around the rest of the community later this winter.
