NEWMARKET, Ontario - Retired defenseman Rob Ramage, the ex-Lightning player, was charged Thursday with driving with a blood-alcohol level that exceeded the limit at which Ontario considers someone to be impaired in the crash that killed ex-Blackhawks player and coach Keith Magnuson.

Ramage had been charged with impaired driving causing death and dangerous driving causing death. His next court date was set for March 4.

Magnuson, 56, was a passenger Dec. 15 when the vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane and struck an SUV, which was hit by another car, police said.
