BOYNTON BEACH - Managers of an apartment complex have dropped a threat to evict a couple for displaying an American flag in their window.

Archon Group apologized in a release for "upsetting" Susan Hudson and her boyfriend, A.J. Hemsey, who have displayed the flag in a bedroom window for more than a year. They said they will do so until soldiers abroad return home.

A property manager told them the flag violates the complex's uniformity rules. They had been given until Wednesday to remove it.

Archon Group's one-paragraph apology came a few hours after attorneys for the couple filed papers to sue the apartment complex.
