Truck routes, new roads and the SouthShore community plan.

These are the topics likely to come up Thursday at the town hall meeting in Sun City Center.

Hillsborough County commissioners will be on hand to hear from residents throughout the south county area, including Sun City Center, Wimauma and Ruskin.

"The turnout at these meetings has been our largest," said Steve Valdez, county community relations manager.

The last town hall meeting in Sun City Center two years ago drew more than 500 people, he said.

Beginning at 8:30 a.m., those at the meeting will have access to about 50 different exhibits. Displays will hold information on everything from solid waste and water department services, to fire rescue and library services. Area residents will be able to get library cards, browse through catalogs of animals available for adoption at animal services, and pick up free water-saving devices for showers and sinks as well as county maps and information on recyling.

Hillsborough Television, available on cable Channel 22, will carry the meeting live. Those watching at home can call 272-5275 to ask commissioners and county staff members questions.
