TAMPA - Detectives investigating a drug trafficking operation with ties to the Cayman Islands arrested a man and his sister Thursday night, and recovered from their Carrollwood apartment cocaine worth $45,000.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, 23-year-old Carson Anthony Yates recently returned from the Caymans and was arrested after delivering 260 grams of cocaine to a person who was a confidential informer for the Sheriff's Office. Investigators then got a search warrant for 121401 Orange Grove Drive, Apt. 1106, where they said Yates and his sister, Christi Lee Yates, stored the cocaine.

Detectives said they found another 180 grams of cocaine in the residence, located in the Country Wood apartment complex. Christi Lee Yates, 33, is being held in the county jail without bail. Carson Yates is being held on $100,000 bail.
