Ahhh, the life of a college president. For University of South Florida president Judy Genshaft, it often amounts to long days filled with meeting after meeting. Here is her work schedule for the week of Jan. 12 through Jan. 18. It is, alas, all too typical:
MONDAY, JAN. 12
9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. - meet with Arias Foundation reps, Renu, JoAnn McCarthy, PCR.
10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. - meet with Cindy re: Holocaust event.
Noon to 12:30 p.m. - MLK Kick-off, brief remarks (3 to 5 minutes).
12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. - Travel time to Lakeland.
1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. - Lakeland campus visit. Dr. Wilcox, Provost Khator.
2 p.m. to 3 p.m. - FYI: Alzheimer Building and Facilities Committee mtg., Amberly Dr., Tampa Palms, Jenna going.
4 p.m. to 5 p.m. - FYI: TBPAC Board of Trustees Meeting, Maestro's.
5:15 p.m. - TBPAC Trustees' Reception, Jaeb Theatre, complimentary valet parking at the Center's Arrival Plaza, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.
6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. - dinner with Dr. Laura Lindsay, Provost candidate (CSV); pick candidate up at Embassy Suites, in lobby, Stonewood Grill.
TUESDAY, JAN. 13
9 a.m. to 10 a.m. - meet with Provost Khator.
10 a.m. to noon - USPS General Senate Meeting, CIS 1044.
Noon to 1:30 p.m. - Top of the Palms with Provost Khator, Dean McCarthy, Luis Arias, Eugenia Chavarria, Julian Munoz, Wayne Jenjins, Dr. Tedjarati.
1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. - meet with Kathleen Heide and Ron Redferri, Karen Clarke (csv).
2 p.m. to 3 p.m. - meet with Dr. Wilcox, Carl and Renu.
3 p.m. to 4 p.m. - meet with Kim Sheeler, Randy Simmons.
4 p.m. to 5 p.m. - meet with Carl/Cindy re: Board of Trustees Exec. Prep.
WEDNESDAY, JAN. 14
9 a.m. to 11 a.m. - Cabinet meeting.
11 a.m. to noon - Alzheimer site, Speaker Byrd awarding research grants, (remarks re: land agreement).
2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. - Cindy - meet the Leadership Florida staff (in her office).
3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. - meet with Ryan Caruso.
4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. - meet with Liz Sismilich.
THURSDAY, Jan. 15
8 a.m. to 9 a.m. - Committee 100 Executive Committee meeting, TECO Energy, 702 N Franklin St., Board Room.
10 a.m. to noon - Board of Trustees Exec. Committee (CSV)
2 p.m. to 3 p.m. - meet with Michael Rierson.
6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. - dinner with Dr. Renu Khator, Provost candidate (csv).
FRIDAY, Jan. 16
9 a.m.-2 p.m. - State University Presidents Association funding formula committee meeting, Orlando Airport, Carl and Ralph.

7 p.m. to 9 p.m. - Florida Holocaust Museum To Life Award's Ceremony . . . honorees, JG and the Semblers.
