HUDSON 8, ZEPHYRHILLS 2: David Connors and Jeremy Enix scored twice, including Enix's team-leading 15th goal, in Hudson's quarterfinal win. The Cobras took a 3-1 halftime lead to beat the Bulldogs for the third time this season.

No. 3 Hudson (12-7-3) advances to tonight's semifinal game at 8 against No. 2 Wesley Chapel.

Will Smith scored his 12th goal for the Cobras, who also got goals from Alex Hays, Matt Edelman and Greg Bopp. Smith and Edelman share the team scoring lead at 38 points.

GULF 5, TARPON SPRINGS 1: Novica Maric added to his county-leading goal total by scoring twice against Tarpon Springs. Maric has 52 goals, three shy of Justin Geisler's (Land O'Lakes) record set in the 1999-2000 season.

Bosho Maric, Novica's twin, had a goal and two assists, and David Montanez scored twice.

The district win avenged Gulf's two losses to the Spongers and advanced the No. 5 Bucs (13-8-3) to tonight's semifinal at 6 against top seed Ridgewood.
