Women: Red Raiders demolish Jayhawks

LUBBOCK, Texas - Erin Grant scored a career-high 27, and ninth-ranked Texas Tech never trailed in a 67-44 victory Wednesday night over Kansas.

Alesha Robertson and LaToya Davis added 12 each for the Red Raiders (19-3, 5-3 Big 12).

Grant had two 3-pointers against the Jayhawks (9-10, 2-6). She finished 10-of-13 from the field and had six assists, five steals and had no turnovers in 30 minutes.

Grant also hit all five of her free throws. She hasn't missed from the line in the past two games.

NO.11 COLORADO 78, NEBRASKA 63: Tera Bjorklund scored 18 of her 32 in the second half to lead the Buffaloes. Kate Fagan and Amber Metoyer added 10 each, and Colorado (18-2, 7-1 Big 12) rolled to its sixth consecutive victory and 20th straight over the Cornhuskers (14-6, 4-5) in Boulder.

NO.10 KANSAS ST. 61, IOWA ST. 47: Nicole Ohlde scored 20 and freshman Twiggy McIntyre had 10 of her career-high 13 in a 17-0 run that lifted the visiting Wildcats. The Cyclones (10-9, 3-5) were leading 40-33 early in the second half and seemed to be in control. But Kansas State (16-3, 7-1) turned up its defense, holding Iowa State to one field goal the rest of the way.

NO.23 NOTRE DAME 66, GEORGETOWN 52: Jacqueline Batteast had 20 points and nine rebounds, and the host Irish held the Hoyas to a season-low 29.6 percent shooting. Megan Duffy added 11 points and five assists for Notre Dame (14-7, 7-2 Big East), which shot 45 percent and led throughout. Rebekkah Brunson scored 12, six below her average, to lead Georgetown (10-10, 4-6).
