A Pinellas County sheriff's deputy who in October faced criminal charges and an internal investigation has been exonerated on all counts, according to public records.

Deputy Louis Evans, 42, was originally charged with domestic battery and resisting arrest without violence after an altercation at his home in Largo. The criminal charges were dropped and the case was closed in December.

The Sheriff's Office placed the 10-year veteran on administrative leave from Oct. 20 to Oct. 27 and began an internal investigation into the incident. On Feb. 3, the Sheriff's Administrative Review Board declared the charges unfounded.
