Downtown Dunedin welcomes the return of its outdoor street festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday on Main Street. The 12th annual Downtown Dunedin Craft Festival will feature original handmade works of art from more than 200 crafts makers across Florida and neighboring states. A special Garden and Gourmet Marketplace will feature homemade foods and spices, as well as gardening accessories such as plants and flowers. Admission is free. PICNIC IN THE PARK: The public is invited to bring picnic dinners to Largo Central Park and enjoy the new "music in the park" sound system from 6 to 8 p.m. every Friday. Tablecloths, candles and music will be provided - you provide the supper. This week, it is music for lovers.
CRUISE IN: If you like cars, don't miss the Downtown Largo Main Street Association's second Friday Cruise In. The show will feature 30 trophies to be given away in different categories. The registration fee is $10 per vehicle and the first 25 cars registered will receive a commemorative dash plaque. The event is from 6 to 8 p.m. in the 400 to 600 blocks of West Bay Drive. Bring your classic street rod or import to show, or just bring the family for a night out. There will be food, prizes and music.
SKI SHOW: The Tampa Bay Water Ski Show Team will perform at 4 p.m. Saturday, and Feb. 21 at Tower Lake, behind the Oldsmar Flea Market. BLACK HISTORY PROGRAM: The Pinellas County African-American History Museum presents a dramatic portrayal of James Weldon Johnson, one of the state's most celebrated historical figures, 1 p.m., Saturday, 101 N. Marshall St., Clearwater. Noted actor LeRoy Mitchell Jr. will portray Johnson, a native of Jacksonville, the first black secretary of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. He will talk about Johnson's life as a lawyer, diplomat, high school principal and a member of the Harlem Renaissance. The Florida Humanities Council (FHC) is a nonprofit organization funded by private donations, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and Florida's Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs.
