SEMINOLE - Keswick Christian coach Karrmayne King is just happy the Crusaders have another chance to play after losing 73-56 to Cambridge in the Class A, Disrict 7 final.
Keswick Christian (18-9) led most of the game, including an eight-point lead just before halftime. It wasn't until Alexis Walker's basket with 6:15 left in the fourth quarter that Cambridge regained the lead.
Behind Stephanie Grace's 20 points and Walker's 10 fourth-quarter points, Cambridge (26-2) scored 31 in the fourth to seal it.
In what Cambridge coach Karim Norha said "surprised" the Lancers, Keswick opened with physical play, leading 23-18 at the end of the first quarter.
The Crusaders extended their lead into the fourth, but Cambridge never allowed Keswick to pull away.
Elizabeth Brown and Andrea McAdoo's quick baskets in the first minute of the fourth tied it at 46. Cambridge went on a 15-2 run while outscoring Keswick 31-10 in the fourth.
Sarah Hodupp led Keswick scorers with 14 points. Janelle DeVaul and Kate Carl added 12 and 10, respectively.
"We gained a lot of confidence," King said "It was a great atmosphere. The kids played with a lot of heart. I am very proud."
