TAMPA - South Florida qualified for its first Conference USA tournament since the 2000-01 season as Jessica Dickson, the nation's top-scoring freshman, had 22 points in a 70-38 romp over Southern Miss on Friday night.

Ezria Parsons tied a career high with 13 rebounds and Anedra Gilmore added 12 points, nine assists and three steals for the Bulls (12-13, 5-7), who won their second straight and fourth in five games with their largest margin in a C-USA victory since they joined for the 1995-96 season.

Leading 28-22 at halftime, USF started the second half with a 25-6 run over nine minutes to blow it open. The Bulls shot 52.9 percent (18-of-34) in the half and held the Golden Eagles (14-11, 2-10) to 4-for-20 shooting.

NO. 21 HOUSTON 84, NO. 12 DePAUL 75: Sancho Lyttles had 30 points and 15 rebounds as the host Cougars (22-3, 10-1 C-USA) took over first place. Khara Smith and Charlene Smith scored 27 for the Blue Demons (22-3, 10-2).

NO. 17 TCU 56, MARQUETTE 47: Sandora Irvin had her eighth straight double double with 11 points and 13 rebounds for the host Horned Frogs (21-4, 10-2 C-USA). Carolyn Kieger scored 12 for the Golden Eagles (18-7, 8-4).

NO. 18 GEORGIA: Leading scorer Kara Braxton was dismissed after three suspensions last season and a fourth this one.

MARQUETTE: Assistant Trey Schwab is showing steady improvement in his recovery from a double-lung transplant, coach Tom Crean said.

ST. BONAVENTURE: Former coach Jan van Breda Kolff is seeking the approximately $1-million left on his contract, saying he was wrongfully dismissed. Van Breda Kolff, an assistant with the NBA's Hornets, had four years left on his contract when he was fired in April after a player eligibility scandal. The NCAA ruled van Breda Kolff committed no violations.

Late Thursday

NO. 14 ARIZONA 100, OREGON 87: Salim Stoudamire scored a career-high 37 and Hassan Adams added 26 points and 14 rebounds for the visiting Wildcats (17-6, 9-5 Pac-10). Luke Jackson had a career-high 42 points for the Ducks (12-8, 7-6).
