BROOKSVILLE - A man with a small handgun robbed a gas station south of downtown Brooksville Saturday morning, said Sgt. Norm Cartwright of the Brooksville Police Department.

The man approached the cashier at the Sunoco/Speedway station about 3:30 a.m., Cartwright said. Once the cashier handed over the money, the man ran away from the station at 795 S Broad St., Cartwright said.

Police do not have a good description of the man because he was wearing what appeared to be a ski mask.
