CLEMSON, S.C. - The Florida State men's track team won five events Saturday to secure its fourth straight ACC title and second straight indoor championship.
The Seminoles had 164 points. Clemson was second with 142.
Rafeeq Curry and Sean Campbell defended their titles. Curry won the triple jump at 51 feet, 9 inches, and Campbell ran the 400 meters in 48.11 seconds. Joep Tigchelaar took the 3,000 (8:18.10), Brian Dzingai won the 200 in 21.44 and the 4x400 relay team earned consecutive ACC titles (3:14.74).
The FSU women finished fifth with 78 points. North Carolina won with 124.5. The Seminoles' Natalie Hughes lead the 1-mile field (4:48.6).
BASEBALL: Eddie Cannon (3-0) struck out nine and allowed three runs in 62/3 innings as host Florida State (6-3) beat Oral Roberts 6-4. ... Ben Harrison had three hits, including a home run, and host Florida (5-3) defeated Miami (Ohio) 4-3. ... Orlando Diaz hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the 12th as Jacksonville handed USF (4-2) its second straight loss 6-5. ... Tennessee used a sixth-run sixth to pull ahead of host Miami (3-2), and the Volunteers won 14-11. ... Saint Joseph's got four runs in the seventh, winning 9-8 over host Stetson (3-2). ... Jon Cooper's seventh-inning single scored two to lift host UCF (6-2) over Utah 7-6. ... Host Saint Leo (6-6) split a doubleheader with Florida Gulf Coast. It lost 13-4 but rallied for a 17-1 victory.
GOLF: USF's Oscar Fraustro shot 74 and was tied for the lead at 140 after the second round of the Dick Wittcoff Invitational in Tampa. The Bulls were second, 10 strokes behind Jacksonville State (580).
SOFTBALL: Florida (11-1) scored three in the third during its 3-1 win over Nebraska at the Crowne Plaza Classic in Houston. ... Host Eckerd dropped a doubleheader to Nova Southeastern, 14-2 in six innings and 8-3. ... Host Tampa (5-1) swept a season series from Saint Leo (7-6) for the first time since 1993 by winning a doubleheader 1-0 in nine and 3-2. ... The host Bulls (14-2) scored three in the second to beat Tulsa 3-2 in the USF-Best Western Tournament. Earlier, USF scored the winner in the eighth to beat N.C. State 2-1.
TENNIS: The host USF men beat Alabama 4-3 by sweeping the doubles matches. ... The Barry women beat visiting Eckerd 7-2 despite forfeiting the No.3 doubles and No.6 singles matches.
