SEMINOLE - Thomas Schreck had a hat trick as Osceola advanced to the Class 4A state semifinals with a 3-1 victory over West Palm Beach Forest Hill on Saturday.

Osceola faces Rockledge at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Fort Lauderdale.

Tuesday, Brent Spyker's hat trick led Osceola (14-2-3) to a 4-0 victory over Okeechobee in the region semifinals.

"I was just hoping to do my share of working up there," said Schreck, who missed three months with a broken foot. "It really doesn't matter to me who scores."

On Schreck's fourth of nine shots, with 10 minutes left in the first half, the senior ripped a left-footer past Jairo Hernandez for a 1-0 lead.

"They were giving us corners, throw-ins, everything," said Osceola coach Tim Rachford, coach of the Warriors' 1998 and 1999 state semifinal teams. "We just had some misses."

Schreck made it 2-0 in the second half when he stole the ball within 15 yards of the net and beat Hernandez with another left-footer.

The Falcons made things interesting, cutting it to 2-1 with less than 10 minutes left when Lorenzo Helgura's 35-yard free kick sailed over Richard Bose, who made five saves on 12 shots. But Schreck sealed it when he beat Hernandez on a breakaway.
