BOSTON - Jessica Moore and Ashley Battle helped UConn erase an early deficit, then Diana Taurasi returned with a taped ankle to score eight straight during a 20-2 run as No. 2 UConn defeated Boston College on Saturday.
"I'll be okay. I rolled it a little bit," Taurasi said before icing her left ankle. "A lot of people have grown up and stepped up their game."
Moore had a season-high 21 points and eight rebounds and Battle added 17 and seven. Taurasi finished with 13 points and six assists, and Barbara Turner added 10 points for UConn.
NO. 6 LA. TECH 89, SMU 79: Amisha Carter had 33 points and 17 rebounds, and Trina Frierson added 29 points and 11 rebounds as the visiting Techsters reached their 13th straight 20-win season.
After SMU pulled within 77-74 with three minutes left, Carter hit two free throws and a layup to cap a 7-0 run.
"I was pleased our team realized that when we needed a basket, we knew where we needed to go," Louisiana Tech coach Kurt Budke said. "Amisha and Trina have led us all year inside and we definitely needed them."
NO. 10 STANFORD 63, UCLA 54: Nicole Powell had 14 points and 15 rebounds in her final home game to lead the Cardinal to its 10th straight win over the Bruins.
Freshman Noelle Quinn recorded her sixth double double in eight games with 17 points and 12 rebounds for UCLA, which had a season-high six-game winning streak snapped.
Powell was teary-eyed as she received a bouquet of flowers in a pregame ceremony honoring the Stanford seniors.
"I didn't know how I would feel," said Powell, who had 10 points and 13 rebounds in the second half. "I didn't expect to cry at all. It's been a special experience for my whole family and for all the seniors."
NO. 13 COLORADO 72, OKLAHOMA ST. 57: Tera Bjorklund had 18 points and 16 rebounds for her fourth double double to lead the host Buffaloes.
Oklahoma State's Nina Stone fell on a drive to the basket in the first half and was taken off on a stretcher. X-rays on her neck were negative.
NO. 19 BAYLOR 77, NO. 24 OKLAHOMA 62: Steffanie Blackmon scored a season-high 29 and Sophia Young added 13 points and eight rebounds for the host Bears. Blackmon hit 11-of-15 from the floor and 7-of-7 from the line. Erin Higgins was 3-for-6 on 3-pointers and scored 13 to lead the Sooners.
NO. 22 MIAMI 81, SETON HALL 43: Tamara James scored 22 and the host Hurricanes opened each half with big runs.
Miami won its fourth in a row, reaching 20 wins for the first time since 1992-93.
Miami started with a 12-0 run, and started the second half with a 22-1 run, pushing the lead to 63-19.
James was one of four Miami players in double figures. She was 8-of-9 from the floor and 6-of-6 from the free-throw line.
NO. 25 UTAH 73, AIR FORCE 65: Carley Marshall had a game-high 21 for the visiting Utes. Kim Smith added 14 for Utah, which is 15-0 against the Falcons.
Letricia Castillo led Air Force with 14 points, the 14th time the freshman guard has been the team's top scorer.
ARIZONA 84, OREGON 58: Shawtinice Polk became the Wildcats' all-time block leader and scored 23. The win was Arizona's 27th straight at home, the second-longest streak in the country. It is the first time Arizona has gone undefeated at home (14-0).
Polk's one block moved the sophomore past Elizabeth Pickney to become the school's career-record holder with 148. She is ninth on the Pac-10 career list.
TAMPA 60, LYNN 48: The visiting Spartans controlled the game down the stretch. UCF 74, GARDNER-WEBB 48: Ali Roberts scored a game-high 18 for the host Knights.
ROLLINS 82, NOVA SOUTHEASTERN 52: The visiting Tars won their 15th straight, a school record. The mark of 14 straight was set during the 1998-99 season. Gabrielle Blankenfeld and Joslyn Giles each had 17 points for Rollins.
