A healer in Haiti

During his younger years, Dr. Paul Farmer grew up in Hernando County living in a bus, later moving to a boat on Jenkins Creek near Hernando Beach. The Lady Gin was bought at an auction by his father, who piloted it up the creek during high tide and dropped anchor for the family's new home. Farmer still has a picture of the Lady Gin at his home in Cange, Haiti and fondly remembers his time on Jenkins Creek. Surrounding the Lady Gin photo is a picture of Farmer with his daughter, a children's book and a Christmas drawing his daughter made.
