The Arthritis Foundation presents "Take Control 2004: Arthritis Diagnosis, Treatment and Management," a day-long educational seminar and luncheon on March 13. Seminar topics include: "Rheumatoid vs. Osteoarthritis - Where's the Difference?", "Biologic Agents and Your Immune System", "The Other Forms of Arthritis", "The Face of Arthritis" and much more. Help for caregivers
Sylvia Gaddis, Care Manager, Area Agency on Aging Caregiver's REST Program plans a six-week caregivers series. If you are caring for a parent or spouse, this series offers important information. Spay and neutering surgeries will be provided free this month (that leaves you just five days) to the pets of people with limited income. Pet owners must apply in person 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesdays-Fridays at the SPCA, 9099 130th Ave. N, Largo; or 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesdays at the St. Petersburg Free Clinic, 863 Third Ave. N. The University of South Florida Suncoast Gerontology Center will be offering free memory screening March 1-5 in private rooms. The screening takes about 30 minutes.
