GREENVILLE, N.C. - Derrick Wiley scored 17 and Mike Cook 14 to lead East Carolina to a 69-60 victory over South Florida Saturday.
Moussa Badiane had 14 points, eight rebounds and four blocks for the Pirates, who outrebounded the Bulls 47-35. Bradley Mosley paced South Florida with a game-high 20 points. Terrence Leather had 13.
Badiane scored eight in the first as East Carolina took a 37-34 lead at the break.
South Florida pulled within 39-38 on a Moseley layup early in the second but the Pirates responded with a 12-2 run.
Belton Rivers' layup gave East Carolina a 51-40 lead with 9:49 remaining. The Pirates led by as many as 14 in the second.
Brian Swift had 12 points and seven assists for the Bulls.
