No. 8 seed USF faces No. 9 Cincinnati on Thursday at 2 p.m. in the first round of the Conference USA tournament in Fort Worth, Texas. It's the first time since the 2000-01 season the Bulls have made the tournament.
The winner of that game faces No. 1 seed and regular-season champion Houston on Friday.
The Bulls finished the regular season 14-13, 7-7, but they have won four straight and six of their past seven.
In the SEC, No. 4 seed Florida plays at 7 Friday night against the winner of the Georgia-South Carolina game on Thursday.
The Gators tuned up for the tournament with a 71-60 victory Sunday at No. 18 Auburn (21-7, 9-5). Vanessa Hayden scored 22 and Bernice Mosby added 14 for UF (18-9, 8-6).
