ARCHITECTURE

Eric Gebo has been named an associate and project manager for WilderArchitecture Inc., Tampa. Gebo was an associate for Renker, Eichs, Park, St. Petersburg.

BANKING

Kay M. McAleer has been promoted to a vice president for First Community Bank of America, midcounty office in Pinellas Park. McAleer was an administrative officer.

DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT

Bruce Perry has been named regional sales manager for the southeast sales region for Docubase Systems Inc., Clearwater. Perry was the technical sales consultant for the southeast region for eiStream Inc., Tampa.

FINANCE

Adelaide A. "Alex" Sink has been appointed to the board of directors at First Advantage Corp., St. Petersburg. Sink is retired president of Bank of America.

HEALTH CARE

St. Joseph's Children's Hospital, Tampa, announced its new board members: Sister Gladys Sharkey, Dr. Philip Adler, Stephen Buckley, James Strenski, Doug Wimberly and Brian Spearman. Sharkey is the health care coordinator for the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany, Tampa; Adler is a pediatrician for HealthPoint Medical Group, Tampa; Buckley is president of Rooms-to-Go, Seffner; Strenski is a retired public relations chief executive for Public Communications Inc., Tampa; Wimberly is president of Butterkrust Bakery, Lakeland; and Spearman is West Florida general manager for the Pepsi Bottling Group, Tampa.

HOSPITALITY

The TradeWinds Island Resorts, St. Pete Beach, announced these appointments: Virginia Friedland and Cheryl Barry, to national sales managers. Friedland will be responsible for market segments in 24 states in the west territories; Barry will be responsible for the southeast territories. Friedland was a business travel sales manager for Embassy Suites, Chicago; Barry was national sales manager for the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort.

LEGAL

John E. Thomas has been named a shareholder at the law firm of Gardner Wilkes Shaheen, Tampa. Thomas was an associate and practices in the areas of commercial litigation, election law and medical malpractice.

Jill Bowman joined the law firm of James, Hoyer, Newcomer & Smiljanich, Tampa, as a partner. A former partner at Carlton Fields, St. Petersburg, Bowman practices in the areas of class actions and general civil litigation.

NON-PROFIT

Chris Bredbenner has been named director of development for Hernando-Pasco Hospice. Bredbenner was director of development for the Florida Aquarium, Tampa, and vice president of development for the McDonald Training Center Inc., Tampa.

OFFICE SERVICES

Tim Pratte has been named human resources manager for Merit Resources Inc., Tampa. Pratte was human resources manager for Employer's Alliance, Tampa.

ORGANIZATIONS

Nancy J. Riley has been named treasurer of the Florida Association of Realtors. Riley is a broker associate for Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate Inc., St. Petersburg.

The Executive Service Corps of Tampa Bay (ESCOT), Tampa, has elected its new officers and board members. Officers are: Bruno Ammon, president; and Will Michaels, vice president. Board members are: Carol Dyches, Mike Martin, Will Michaels, Jerry Vazquez and Richard Woods. Ammon is a self-employed management consultant, Tampa; Michaels is executive director of the St. Petersburg Museum of History; Dyches is a freelance advertising writer, Tampa; Martin a self-employed certified public accountant and financial analyst, Tampa; Vazquez retired as chief executive of the Hillsborough County Crisis Center, Tampa; and Woods is a retired marketing and public relations manager for AT&T.

The Watson Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, Largo, has elected new officers and a board member. Officers are: Dr. Mark J. Sarno, chairman; Tammy Follo, first vice chairwoman/treasurer; Ted Henter, second vice chairman; and Jamie Neilson, secretary. Board member is: Lana Schutte. Sarno is an optometrist at Optometric Associates of Florida, Seminole; Follo is a homemaker and community volunteer from Palm Harbor; Henter is the owner/operator of Henter Math, St. Petersburg; Neilson is senior vice president at Coast Trust Co., Tampa; and Schutte is vice president and private banking manager for Northern Trust Bank of Florida, Belleair Bluffs.
