Marine Lance Cpl. Gary H. Rothe, son of Susan Cullins and stepson of Brian Cullins, both of St. Petersburg, has been deployed a second time to Iraq. His first deployment was from January to September 2003. He is a Humvee driver with the 1st Marine Division, 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines. He is a 2001 graduate of Lakewood High School.
Air Force Airman Mychal J. Rue recently completed training at the First Term Airmen Center at Kadena Air Base in Japan. He is a 2002 graduate of St. Petersburg High School.
Navy Seaman Apprentice Thomas N. Burleson, son of Darla and Helmut Mader of Seminole, has completed basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. He is a 2003 graduate of Seminole High School.
Army Pvt. 2 Jesse P. Fournier, son of Francine and Paul Fournier of St. Petersburg, began basic training in January at Fort Knox, Ky., where he will take advanced individual training as an armor crewman. He was promoted to his current rank through participation in the Army Delayed Entry Program. He is a 2002 graduate of Pinellas Technical Institute.
Army Pvt. 2 Michael A. Igel, son of Linda and Glen Igel of of St. Petersburg, began basic training in January at Fort Sills, Okla., and was promoted to his current rank through participation in the Army Delayed Entry Program. He will take advanced individual training as an ammunition specialist at Redstone Arsenal, Ala. He is a 2003 graduate of Pinellas Technical Institute.
Marine Pfc. Bryce C. Jagel, son of Donna and George Jagel of St. Petersburg, has completed basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C. He is a 1998 graduate of Northeast High School.
Marine Pfc. Timothy F. Liberty, son of Roy Liberty of St. Petersburg and Marilyn Liberty of Largo, has completed basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C. He is a 2003 graduate of Gibbs High School.
Air Force Col. Warren J. "John" McChesney Jr., son of Helen McChesney of St. Petersburg, was recently promoted to his current rank. After graduating in June from the Naval War College in Newport, R.I., he will take command of the 24th Expeditionary Field Investigations Squadron in Qatar. He graduated from St. Petersburg High School in 1973 and Florida State University in 1977. He received his master's degree in forensics from George Washington University and another master's degree from Mississippi State University.
Navy Dentalman Jessica L. Reed, daughter of Christel Reed of St. Petersburg, has completed the Basic Dental Technician Course at the Naval School of Health Sciences San Diego Detachment, Sheppard Air Force Base, Wichita, Texas. She is a 1992 graduate of Gibbs High School.

He will take his advanced individual training as a physical therapy specialist at Fort Sam, Houston.
