Navy Hospitalman Emily C. Vassilopoulos, daughter of Douglas C. Morton of Largo, recently graduated from the Basic Hospital Corps School at Naval Hospital Corps School, Great Lakes, Ill. Vassilopoulos' first assignment after school will involve direct patient care, but with her training, she can work in several areas. Vassilopoulos is a 2002 graduate of Agawam High School of Agawam, Mass., and joined the Navy in November 2002.

Navy Seaman Apprentice Travis J. Burleson, son of Darla M. and Helmute Mader of Largo, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Burleson is a 2003 graduate of Seminole High School of Seminole.

Marine Corps Pfc. Jonathan Soto, son of Carmen Soto of Clearwater and Efrain Soto of Holiday, recently completed basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C. Soto is a 2003 graduate of Gulf High School of New Port Richey.

Navy Seaman Apprentice Stephen K. Fowler, son of Kellie J. Mullen of Clearwater, recently reported for duty aboard the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson, home ported in Bremerton, Wash.

Marine Corps Pfc. Wesley A. Stopford, a 2003 graduate of Countryside High School, Clearwater, recently reported for duty with Marine Wing Control Squadron 28, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, Cherry Point, N.C.

Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Jeffrey R. Rosado, son of Victoria A. and Alex A. Rosado of Largo, recently returned from a routine, scheduled deployment while assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise, home ported in Norfolk, Va. Rosado is a 1999 graduate of Pinellas Park High School of Pinellas Park and joined the Navy in November 1999.

Marine Corps Pfc. Judd B. Smith, son of Mary H. Richardson of Ashville, N.Y., and Ronald Smith of Clearwater, recently completed basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C., and was promoted to his current rank. Smith joined the Marine Corps in November 2003.
