It appears the Bucs' personnel situation is on par with the Washington Capitals. We are left with the likes of Jameel Cooke, John Howell, Chartric Darby, no speed receiver, no running back, a questionable QB and no offensive line. Contrast this with what Joe Gibbs is doing in Washington. Maybe next year.

That's Rich
As much as I was a Rich McKay fan, and as great an overall job he did, his "oops" (as you put it in Salary Cap 101, Sunday) in messing up Chidi Ahanotu's 1999 signing so that our "franchise player" hasn't played for us for years wipes out almost all the good stuff.

Can good
Marc Topkin's article about Chad Gaudin (To Gaudin, there is no "can't,' Sunday) was awesome. I now have a response to my kids when they say, "I can't." I just say "let me tell you a story about a baseball player." From then on, all I will have to say is, "remember Chad Gaudin?"
