TAMPA - Presumptive Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry is scheduled to hold a "rally for Florida's families" in Ybor City tonight on the eve of Florida's presidential primary.
After campaigning in South Florida, Kerry is expected to arrive at Centro Ybor about 7 p.m. The rally is at 1600 E Eighth Ave., and doors open to the public 5:30.
Meanwhile, presidential candidate and Ohio Rep. Dennis Kucinich also is scheduled to campaign in Florida today, starting in South Florida and winding up in Sarasota and Bradenton. A Sarasota rally for Kucinich is scheduled for 4 p.m. at New College of Florida, 5700 N Tamiami Trail.
In addition to two fundraisers planned in Bradenton, Kucinich at 7 p.m. will attend a rally at Manatee Community College's Neel auditorium, 5840 26th St.
Though Kerry has all but locked up the Democratic nomination, he is expected to clinch it officially after Florida, Texas, Mississippi and Louisiana hold their primaries Tuesday.
