Dragons DB picks Rutgers

Published March 9, 2004

Jefferson defensive back Robert Baham signed a letter of intent with Rutgers, choosing the Scarlet Knights over San Diego State.

The 6-foot, 190-pounder made the commitment on a recruiting trip Saturday and was influenced most when North Carolina State defensive backs coach Chris Demarest took a job at Rutgers. Demarest recruited Baham before transferring.

Baham helped lead Jefferson to the region finals a third straight season and was named to the Class 3A All-State team, as well as the Times All-Suncoast first team.
