ORLANDO - Magic forward Grant Hill will not attempt a comeback this season, deciding to give his injured left ankle more time to heal with a goal toward returning next season, his agent said. Lon Babby told Florida Today on Monday that the five-time All-Star will continue rehabilitating.

BAKER HEARING: Former Celtics forward Vin Baker will know Thursday if he can sign with another team. No team can sign Baker, who had the remaining $35-million of his contract voided by the Celtics, until his grievance against the team is decided.

HORNETS: Forward Jamal Mashburn, who missed 44 games with a right knee injury, will miss at least three weeks with swelling.

Monday's games

CAVS 108, HAWKS 102: LeBron James had 34 points - his 10th game with more than 30 - and made three free throws in the final minute for visiting Cleveland.

JAZZ 88, LAKERS 83: Gordan Giricek scored 21 for Utah as former Jazz star Karl Malone lost in his first trip as a visitor.

76ERS 97, BUCKS 92: Seldom-used Greg Buckner scored a season-high 20 as host Philadelphia overcame a 20-point deficit.

MAVS 103, SUNS 90: Dirk Nowitzki scored 18 of his 26 in the first half and Dallas won its ninth straight at home.
