UT flashback for Tino

By MARC TOPKIN
Published March 13, 2004

Tino Martinez fans will soon have a new way - well, actually, a new old way - to show their support. Martinez will be one of a dozen big-leaguers featured in a new line of college throwback jerseys.

Martinez's University of Tampa jersey, along with college jerseys of Barry Bonds, Reggie Jackson, Tom Seaver and others, will be available in the summer at sports apparel outlets ($90 for a replica, $200 for an authentic).

Headmaster Inc. (www.hcampuswear.com) is coming out with a line of college throwback jerseys for baseball, football, basketball and hockey players.

Martinez, who didn't know about the product, wasn't quite sure how popular his UT jersey would be.

"It's cool," he said. "I'll have to get some for my kids."
