SPRING HILL - Women who are battling cancer are invited to a "Look Good, Feel Better" program that will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at LifeSouth Community Blood Center (second floor), 12395 Cortez Blvd.
This is a monthly program sponsored by the American Cancer Society that is geared to help women undergoing active cancer treatment or who are within six months after treatment.
Participants will learn how to counter the appearance-related side affects of treatment, such as hair loss and changes in skin moisture and tone. Instruction will be given on how to maintain appearance through the use of makeup, wigs, scarves and turbans. Each participant will receive a complimentary cosmetic kit.
Space is limited and reservations are required. Call Adele at 686-1312 or the American Cancer Society toll-free at 1-800-227-9954. The "Look Good, Feel Better" program meets locally on the fourth Wednesday of each month.
