TAMPA - A Tampa man was arrested Thursday after a road rage incident on Interstate 4 near McIntosh Road.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Ronald A. Favorite was driving a 1997 Chevrolet Camaro west on I-4 around 11:30 a.m. when he cut off another motorist and abruptly braked, forcing Isaac Abukhdeir of Lakeland to swerve to avoid a crash. Favorite then gestured to Abukhdeir like he was firing a gun, FHP reported. Favorite started following Abukhdeir closely, scaring him so much he called FHP.

Favorite, 23, of 12737 17th St. N Apt. 627, was charged with habitual driving with a suspended license, a third-degree felony, and operating an unregistered vehicle. He was being held in the county jail Thursday in lieu of $2,250 bail.

Records show Favorite was arrested last October of a charge of driving under the influence. In 2002, he was arrested on charges of soliciting a prostitute and driving with a suspended license.
