Low-carb dieters might notice a place with "beef" in the name.

Beef "O' Brady's has opened at 10920 Cross Creek Blvd. in New Tampa. The franchised family sports pub and restaurant serves chicken wings, buffalo shrimp, chicken fingers, french fries, a variety of sandwiches, burgers and dessert. The Irish restaurant chain was established in 1985. Beef's is decorated with sports memorabilia, and televisions are tuned in to sporting events. Hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 10 p.m. Sunday. Call 982-9233.

Carrollwood Bike World, 15205 N Dale Mabry, has closed. Pedal over to the Brandon location, Brandon Bike and Mower World, 118 Central Drive. Call 681-1611.
