CLEARWATER - A body found inside a burned mobile home Monday morning has been identified as Patricia Rankin, 73.

The cause of the fire in Rankin's unit at Plaza Pines mobile home park, 1280 Lakeview Road, has not been determined, but it appears to be accidental, said Clearwater police spokesman Wayne Shelor.

Firefighters were called to the home about 3:20 a.m. Monday. They found the home engulfed in flames. When they put the fire out, they discovered a body on the living room floor, where the fire is thought to have started, Shelor said. Family members said Rankin was a smoker.
