TAMPA - Sheriff's detectives say the same man wearing the same football jersey robbed two local Wachovia banks in three days.
Hillsborough deputies on Thursday released surveillance pictures of the robber after he hit the Wachovia bank at 110 W Bloomingdale Ave. near Riverview.
Deputies said the man walked into the bank about 11 a.m. and handed a note to the teller, demanding cash.
He left with an undisclosed amount of money.
The same scenario played out on Tuesday, detectives said.
A man walked into the Wachovia bank at 15518 N Dale Mabry Highway in the Northdale Shopping Center. He handed a note to a teller shortly before noon, deputies said, then ran toward a Kash n' Karry on Northdale Boulevard.
During both robberies, deputies said, the man wore the same two-tone blue football jersey with No. 94 on the front.
The robber is a white male in his late 30s to early 40s, about 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-8 and 140 to 160 pounds. He has no facial hair.
