CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Daniel Wardell homered twice and Eddy Martinez-Esteve and Ryne Malone each had four hits to lead Florida State's baseball team to a 10-6 win over North Carolina on Saturday.

Eddie Cannon (7-1) earned the win for Florida State (21-6, 4-1 ACC), allowing eight hits and four runs over 61/3 innings. The third FSU pitcher, Rhett James, worked 21/3 scoreless innings for his second save of the year.

Martinez-Esteve went 4-for-5 with a homer and Malone was 4-for-5 with three RBIs for Florida State. Wardell hit a two-run homer in the second and another homer in the ninth.

"It was very encouraging to see our guys bounce back today after being humiliated last night," FSU coach Mike Martin told seminoles.com a day after his team lost to UNC 10-4. "Eddy (Martinez-Esteve) and (Danny) Wardell provide huge lifts for our ballclub today."
