By NANCY PARADIS
Published March 29, 2004

The following products, distributed nationwide and in Florida, were recalled between March 19 and 25:

* 318 cribs by Stanley Furniture Co.; an incorrect screw (used to attach the movable gate) was provided for the assembly of some of these cribs. If another screw was substituted, it may not properly hold the movable gate in place, resulting in a potential risk that a child could fall from the crib or become entrapped between the gate and the mattress. Recalled are the white painted wood Isabella model cribs with model number 326-94C1 or 326-94C2, distributed through Stanley Furniture's Young America line. They were sold at department and furniture stores from November through February for about $980. Contact the store where purchased or call toll-free 1-888-839-6822 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays to schedule a free, in-home crib inspection or repair.

* 8,000 Murray lawn mowers, lawn tractors and garden tractors by Murray Inc.; plastic components on these lawn mowers and lawn tractors can crack if they are struck by an object thrown from the blade. * The Consumer Product Safety Commission is warning consumers that based on its investigation of two deaths caused by carbon dioxide (CO2) canisters flying off paintball guns, users should not unscrew the brass or nickel-plated valve that connects directly to the canister when removing the canister assembly from a paintball gun. Doing so can turn the pressurized canister into a deadly projectile.
