The Suncoast Linux Users Group will meet at 7 p.m. today at the St. Petersburg Public Library, 3745 Ninth Ave. N; at 8 p.m. Thursday at Barnes & Noble, Westfield Shoppingtown Brandon; and at 1 p.m. Saturday at the New Port Richey Public Library, 5939 Main St. For information, check www.suncoastlug.org/

Registration is under way for April computer classes offered by the Crystal River User's Group. Classes include Windows Basic, Introduction to Computers, and Internet Explorer and E-Mail. Classes are conducted at the group's Computer Education Center, Sunshine Plaza, 2075 N Lecanto Highway, Lecanto.

Cares Elfers Center Computer Training Program for April includes classes in Basic and Advanced Computer, Digital Camera and Internet. Registration will be from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday and April 6 at the center, 4136 Barker Drive, Elfers. For information, call (727) 847-1290.

The Tampa Bay Computer Society has organized a Share A Ride program to help people with transportation problems attend its meetings. It is looking for volunteers to drive, as well as people who need rides. For information, e-mail secretary@tampa-bay.org or call 727 443-4433.

Laura Royal, a criminal investigator with the Florida Department of Financial Services Bureau of Investigations, will talk about Internet fraud for the Greater Tampa Bay PC User Group at 7 p.m. April 5 at the Hillsborough Community College Brandon campus, Building 605, Room BTEC 103. A representative from Metro Crime Prevention of Florida will talk about crime prevention and personal safety at 6 p.m. April 7 at the Microcomputer Users Group meeting at the the Largo Library, 351 East Bay Drive. For information, call (727) 724-0667.

The Hernando Computer Club will have an open house at 7 p.m. April 19 at 13400 Montour St., Brooksville. The event will include displays of old computers, digital imaging and genealogy information. For information, check www.hcc.org or call 352 592-0070.
