Man's body found off Anclote Key

By Times Staff Writer
Published March 30, 2004

The Coast Guard on Monday recovered the body of a man floating off Anclote Key and delivered it to the Pasco-Pinellas Medical Examiner's Office for identification.

Glenn A. Jamison, 40, of Hudson, was reported missing after heading offshore in his 19-foot boat for a day of fishing March 21.

Seas were running 4 to 6 feet and the wind reached 10 to 15 knots that day, the Coast Guard said. A fishing vessel found Jamison's boat floating 32 miles west of Tampa Bay on March 23. His brother, Frank Jamison, last week said it appeared Glenn had been working to free his propeller of fishing line. Glenn couldn't swim, he said.
