Discount supercenters seem to be popping up on every corner.

The bargain world's newest member is Wal-Mart at 6216 Elliot Drive. The store is one of three "Neighborhood Market" Wal-Marts in Florida, with full and self-service checkout lanes, a half-hour photo lab, a liquor store, a chicken rotisserie, a pizza machine and a drive-through pharmacy. A "Grab-n-Go" bar stocked with doughnuts, coffee, pastries and fountain drinks will be in the front of the store, with a drop box for money. At the March 31 grand opening, $13,000 was donated to local community organizations through Wal-Mart's Good Works program. Wal-Mart is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Call 249-3145.

Crafters looking for bargains should head to Jo-Ann, at 4340 W Hillsborough Ave. in the Galleria shopping center. The store is closing in May, and items are 30 to 50 percent off. Jo-Ann sells fabrics, sewing and craft supplies, patterns and accessories. Stores will remain open at University Collection, 2764 E Fowler Ave., and at the Plaza at Citrus Park, 12635 Citrus Plaza Drive. Hours for the Hillsborough Avenue store are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Call 792-2287.

Exhausted after sale hunting? Get pampered starting Thursday at Spa Fusion, 8731 Gunn Highway. Services will include skin care, Botox, massage, nails, laser hair removal, waxing, makeup, chemical peels, and spa and bridal packages. Call 852-1060.
