What's new at The Trop?

Here are some of the new features this season at Tropicana Field:

By TOM JONES
Published April 6, 2004

- The beach has been set free. In years past, fans sitting in the Beach section (the upper deck of leftfield) were not permitted to wander around the stadium or visit concession stands on the main concourse. This season, fans will be able to move around the stadium.

- Two new restaurants are in place. Checkers takes the place of one of the Outback stands. Ragin' Ribs will offer - what else? - ribs.

- The bullpen cafe is now sponsored by Checkers.

- The Platinum Club on the second deck will feature private dining. Fans may purchase single-game tickets that include the price of food.
