TAMPA - Hillsborough sheriff's deputies on Thursday sent out another plea asking for the public's help in their investigation of the hit-and-run accident that killed two children on N 22nd Street March 31.
Deputies are asking anyone who called 911 the night of the crash to contact investigators. The accident killed Bryant Wilkins, 13, and his 3-year-old brother, Durontae Caldwell. Their siblings, 8-year-old Aquina Wilkins and 2-year-old LaJuan Davis, were injured but have been released from the hospital.
Deputies also are requesting a call from anyone who saw Jennifer Porter, a 28-year-old elementary school dance teacher, or the car she was driving, a silver 2000 Toyota Echo, between 7 p.m. March 31 and 6 p.m. April 2.
Specifically, investigators are interested in anyone who saw Porter or the vehicle at the Wesley Chapel strip mall where she owns a dance studio.
Anyone with information that might aid the investigation may call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at (813) 247-0600.
