Team pop trivia

By GINA VIVINETTO
Published April 15, 2004

This week's winner: Scott Dempster of Indian Shores knew that Carl Perkins wrote Blue Suede Shoes, which was a hit for Perkins and Elvis Presley.

This week's question: It's the birthday of the late, great jazz bassist Charles Mingus. Mingus often composed tunes with overtly political titles, including one which referred to a racist Arkansas governor who fought in the 1950s to keep schools segregated. To enter your name in the random drawing for the Weekend T-shirt, name the tune.
