Sir Paul McCartney is going back to Russia later this year, reports Ananova.com.
The former Beatle is planning an outdoor concert in St. Petersburg on June 20 with an audience potentially double the size of the 20,000 who crammed into the Red Square in Moscow to see him last year.
The June concert will be held in Palace Square, outside the Hermitage Museum. Organizers are preparing for a crowd of up to 50,000 people.
Estefans to be honored by Latin industry group
NEW YORK - Emilio and Gloria Estefan have been selected by the Latin Entertainment Industry Group for City of Hope as its 2004 Spirit of Life Award honorees.
The award will be presented Nov. 18 at a gala dinner in the Miami area. Proceeds from the event will benefit City of Hope's research, treatment and education programs for cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
The award is presented to individuals who have made a notable contribution to their community and profession. The Latin Entertainment Industry fundraising group for City of Hope selects honorees who have fundamentally influenced the direction of the Latin entertainment industry.
"It is with great pride and reverence that we accept this honor," Emilio Estefan said. "I am intimately aware of the important work of this organization and that people in Miami, and everywhere, benefit from its mission and resources."
