The Tampa Bay Turners competed in the Level 9 gymnastics regional in Atlanta.
The event included teams from Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Louisiana.
Briana Melander turned in a first-place finish on the bars, second on balance beam and in the all-around competition and fifth on vault.
Lindsay Weber was second in the floor exercise and all-around, third on bars and sixth on beam.
The organization's other finishers were Ashley Sullivan (10th on floor), Alyssa Adrian (fifth on bars, ninth on vault), Jordan Windschauer (fifth on beam), Alyssa Collins (sixth all-around, eighth on beam), Sarah Brownlee (second on bars), Brittany Hunt (sixth on bars) and Bri Anne McKeon (eighth on floor).
In the Level 10 regional at the same site, Summer Hubbard captured second on the beam and 10th all-around. Alyssa Harmon was fifth on beam, and Breanne Guy took seventh on bars and 10th in all-around.
Lauren Bernloehr placed 11th on beam and floor, and Jenny Citrin was seventh on floor and 10th on vault.
The Turners will send six girls to the Level 9 Eastern National Qualifiers, April 23-25 in Virginia Beach. They are Adrian, Melander, Windschauer, Collins, Hunt and Weber.
APOLLO: The school of gymnastics participated in the USAG Regional 8 Championships in Jackson, Miss.
Grant Brittain, 14, won the all-around competition, including a first on the parallel bars, third on rings and pommel horse, fifth on floor and 11th on vault.
Jordan Loscalzo, 13, was fourth all-around. He placed third on the rings and vault, sixth on pommel horse, 10th on parallel bars, 12th on floor and 14th on high bar.
Sterling Jackson, 10, took ninth all-around after finishing third on the floor and sixth on high bar.
LAFLEUR'S OF LARGO: The organization's Level 9 and 10 teams were in the Junior Olympic Regional Championships in Atlanta.
Tiffany Brodbeck, Danielle Carey, Natalie Garcia, Jacqueline Higueros, Jenna Paul, Ashley Strong, Jenifer Voynovich and Stephanie Young turned in solid performances in Level 9.
Higueros and Voynovich qualified for the Eastern Championships, April 23-25 in Virginia Beach.
In Level 10 of the regional, Elizabeth Herrmann, Lindsay King, Lesley Valenty and Alyssa Wright enjoyed strong performances.
Valenty will advance as a National Team member representing Region 8. She will compete May 1 in Orlando.
CLEARWATER AQUATIC: The team honored Junior Olympic champions Alex Glover, Emman Crescimbeni, James Taddeo and Adam Corbin during its annual spring banquet.
They captured gold in every 13-14 relay at the meet, winning the 200 and 400 medleys and 200 and 400 freestyles. Their 200 medley and 200 and 400 free performances set squad records.
The 10-and-under girls 200 medley relay was recognized for surpassing team marks. The squad consisted of Taylor Mortti, Melissa Damaske, Courtney Grace and Bavya Lakshmanan.
Four of the program's swimmers have signed college scholarships. Erin Hill is headed to Marshall University, Jessica Cummings to Butler, Kassie Schmidt to Wright State and Jay Carpenter to the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
Grant Johnson has been on recruiting trips to Florida, Florida State, Auburn, Louisville and Florida Atlantic.
