ACCOUNTING

Cohen and Grieb P.A., Tampa, announced that Jason Hamblin and Marc Goldstein have been named shareholders at the accounting firm. Both were managers.

BANKS

Steven Anastasia has been named senior vice president and investment consultant for SunTrust Bank, Clearwater. Anastasia was a senior vice president in investment services for AmSouth Investment Services Inc., Clearwater.

Keith M. Brown has been promoted to senior vice president of commercial real estate lending for the Bank of Tampa. Brown was vice president of commercial real estate lending.

Ruben M. Calles has been named vice president and commercial lending officer for Palm Bank, Tampa. Calles was a premier client manager for private banking services for Bank of America, Tampa.

Ted A. Hicks has been named senior vice president of commercial loans for Platinum Bank, Tampa. Hicks was vice president of commercial loans for Colonial Bank, Brandon.

EDUCATION

Susan Shoulet has been named director of alumni relations for Saint Leo University. Shoulet was director of board education services for the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges, Washington.

LEGAL

The law firm of de la Parte & Gilbert P.A., Tampa, announced that Vivian Arenas and Charles "Chip" R. Fletcher have become partners at the firm. Arenas practices in the areas of administrative law, eminent domain and environmental law; Fletcher practices in the areas of legislative, regulatory and environmental law. Both were associates.

MARKETING

Roberts Communications and Marketing Inc., Tampa, announced these appointments: Pamela Lewis, copywriter; and Joel Barbosa, graphic artist. Lewis was a freelancer; Barbosa is a graduate of the University of South Florida.

Lisa Robbins has been promoted to senior account executive for Tucker/Hall Inc., Tampa. Robbins was an account executive.

MISCELLANEOUS

Marilyn R. Swierk received the Commemorative Lecture Award from the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) and the Alumni Achievement Award from the University of Rhode Island. Swierk also has been elected vice president of the board of directors for AAFCS and vice president of programs for the Parenting Project. Swierk, of Seminole, is an author and speaker.

The Gulf Coast Museum of Art, Largo, announced these appointments: Steve Bragin, director of major gifts; Patt Fosnaught, curator of education; and A.A. Rucci, registrar/exhibitions coordinator. Bragin was regional director of development for the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg campus; Fosnaught is an adjunct professor of Art Education/Museum studies for USF in Tampa; and Rucci is the co-owner of the Beaker Gallery, Tampa.

Bob Abberger has been named chairman for the Committee of One Hundred's International Committee for 2004. Abberger is principal and managing director for Trammell Crow Co., Tampa.

Ronnie Duncan received the Herman Goldner Award for Regional Leadership. Given by the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council, the award recognizes an individual who exemplifies the spirit of regional cooperation, dedication to community and achievement in encouraging future vision. Duncan is president of the Duncan Cos., Tampa.

The CEO Council of Tampa Bay Inc. announced its new officers and members of its 2004 board of directors. Officers are: Karen Arnold, chairwoman; Chris Peifer, first vice chairman; Melissa Helms, secretary/treasurer; Dr. Mary Key, vice chairwoman of programs; Andrew Cohen, vice chairman of member recruitment; Kevin Hourigan, vice chairman of member retention; Ginger Watters, vice chairwoman of branding and communication; and George Post, vice chairman of sponsorships. New board members are: Dean Akers and Oscar Horton. Arnold is president of Interior Design Services Inc., St. Petersburg; Peifer is chief executive for Tice Financial Services, Tampa; Helms is president and chief executive for KMIS Inc., Tampa; Key is president of Mary Key and Associates, Tampa; Cohen is president and chief executive of Vertical IT Solutions, Tampa; Hourigan is president and chief executive of Bayshore Solutions, Tampa; Watters is president of the Watters Group, Tampa; Post is managing director of George Post and Co./ITRA, Tampa; Akers is president of Akers Holdings, Tampa; and Horton is president of Sun State International Trucks LLC, Tampa.

RECRUITING

Hal Edwards has been appointed vice president of marketing and communications for Kforce Inc., Tampa. Edwards was senior vice president and account director for WestWayne Inc., Atlanta.
