Hot ticket: Buffett breezes in

By GINA VIVINETTO
Published April 22, 2004

Parrotheads will be out in force to see their leader, Jimmy Buffett, sing of margaritas and cheeseburgers and all things beachy and breezy.

Buffett, 57, hasn't done much over the decades to change his slap-happy songs about Gulf Coast good times and fun in the sun, and that's how his fans like it. Which could explain why his most recent releases are live recordings of eight concerts all over the United States, which fans continue to snap up despite very similar playlists.

Jimmy Buffett performs at 8 p.m. today at the St. Pete Times Forum, 401 Channelside Drive, Tampa. $30-$64. (813) 287-8844 or (727) 898-2100.
