Night out

Hot ticket: Tortugapalooza

By Times Staff
Published April 22, 2004

The Tortuga Twins (yes, there are three of them) spend most of the year performing at renaissance festivals around the country and just finished a run at the Bay Area Renaissance Festival in Tampa.

On Friday, though, the trio moves its act indoors for Tortugapalooza, a benefit show for All Children's Hospital. The variety show promises a mixture of "live interactive comedy and video spoofs." Also on the bill: sword-fighting duo Hack and Slash and burlesque-style dances from Panty Raid. (Ticket purchasers must be at least 18.)

The show is at 8 p.m. Friday at the Palladium, 253 Fifth Ave. N, St. Petersburg. Tickets are $21 in advance, $25 at the door. An after-party at Cha Cha Coconuts at the Pier, 800 Second Ave. NE, is $10 in advance, $12 at the door. 727 822-3590 or www.palladiumtheater.com
